White Hall Farm is
an early nineteenth-century agricultural farm in Calvert, Maryland. The State of Maryland and the Maryland Department of Agriculture has awarded White Hall in the Maryland Century Farm Program, as well as recognized as one of only a handful of Bicentennial Farms in the state. We are very honored to be the only Bicentennial Farm in Calvert County.
White Hall was first constructed in 1801 by the founder of the area, Thomas Smith. The very first Calvert County fair was held at the farm in 1886. Doctor Talbott performed operations out of the home in the early 1900’s.
The farm is now owned by the Durbins, where we grow corn and other crops, flowers, herbs, farm fresh eggs, an artisan wood shop, sourdough baked goods and more. We are very happy to be the next generation of farmers.
Our owner, Todd Durbin, has been in the United States Army since 2005. He has served combat tours in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. He is now stationed at Fort Meade in Maryland.
We are proud members of the Farmer Veteran Coalition and our farm is Homegrown by Heroes certified.
Together, we have been married for over 10 years and enjoy watching our family grow on the farm. We are passionate about our local community and supporting Maryland farms.
