White Hall Farm is

an early nineteenth-century agricultural farm in Calvert, Maryland. The State of Maryland and the Maryland Department of Agriculture has awarded White Hall in the Maryland Century Farm Program, as well as recognized as one of only a handful of Bicentennial Farms in the state. We are very honored to be the only Bicentennial Farm in Calvert County.

White Hall was first constructed in 1801 by the founder of the area, Thomas Smith.  The very first Calvert County fair was held at the farm in 1886. Doctor Talbott performed operations out of the home in the early 1900’s.

The farm is now owned by the Durbins, where we grow corn and other crops, flowers, herbs, farm fresh eggs, an artisan wood shop, sourdough baked goods and more.  We are very happy to be the next generation of farmers.

Tiffany -

farm manager

Tiffany manages the farm at White Hall - she takes care of the vegetables and plants, cares for the animals and bakes sourdough. In the wood shop, she designs the custom pieces and is the artist on the signs. Her hobbies include knitting, running and reading classics.

Todd - woodworker

Todd is the main wood worker in the wood shop. He chainsaws, mills, sets and engraves the designs. On the farm, he operates and services tractors, builds chicken coops and performs farmhouse repairs. His hobbies include woodworking (of course), grilling ribs and mechanical work.

Together, we have been married for over 10 years and enjoy watching our family grow on the farm. We are passionate about our local community and supporting Maryland farms.
